Job Summary

As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be an integral part of our collaborative team, delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. You will provide nursing care and contribute to fluctuating patient care needs according to CNO standards and RNAO Best Practice Guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care and contribute to patient care needs
  • Administer psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications and treatments
  • Ensure necessary clinical assessments are initiated following admission and as needed
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams and individual team members
  • Act as a preceptor, mentor, coach, or resource nurse as appropriate
Requirements
  • Current registration as an RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing
  • 6 months of nursing practice and knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA) and community mental health resources
  • CPR/Basic rescuer and venipuncture skills
  • Knowledge of documentation standards (CNO) and privacy legislation (PHIPPA)
