About the Role

As a Residential Collector with Irving Oil Limited, you will play a crucial role in identifying and managing credit risk for residential accounts within a specific portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to balance both inbound and outbound contacts with residential customers, working with them to manage repayment plans and accept and process payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer repayment plans and accept/process payments.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers via telephone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Perform account maintenance tasks as required.
  • Prepare accounts for placement with third-party collections – legal or agency.
  • Identify and manage risk within the collection portfolio.
  • Prioritize calls based on objective criteria.
  • Participate in projects and other team initiatives as required.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience with collections is an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of MS applications: Word and Excel especially.
  • Sales experience an asset.
  • Professional credit designation such as CCP (Certified Credit Professional) an asset.
  • Bilingualism an asset: French and English.
