Landscaping Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at GDB Landscaping Ltd. As a key member of our outdoor operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our clients' properties.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties efficiently.
- Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure our clients' properties are well-manicured and visually appealing.
- Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct site assessments to determine the necessary resources required for each project, ensuring accurate estimates and timely completion.
- Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring they are built to the highest standards and meet our clients' expectations.
- Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate with contractors and staff to ensure seamless execution of landscape construction projects.
- Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately document all work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring fair prices and timely delivery.
- Repair and Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation.
- Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure necessary materials and equipment to support ongoing operations.
- Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to staff to improve efficiency and quality of work.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Work Site Environment: Outdoors
- Supervision: 5-10 people
- Personal Suitability: Initiative, Team player, Work Term: Permanent, Work Language: English, Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
