Nursing Program Lead

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursing Program Lead to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the future of nursing education within our Indigenous community.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum for nursing programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Lead and mentor a team of instructors, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with administration to ensure the smooth operation of the nursing program, including resource allocation and student support services.
  • Promote student success through effective teaching strategies, academic advising, and retention initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including students, faculty, community partners, and regulatory bodies.
Student Focus:
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and respects Indigenous cultures.
  • Provide guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey, addressing their individual needs and challenges.
  • Advocate for student success by promoting access to resources and opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) Master's degree or RN with a Master's degree in progress.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time clinical practice experience in medical-surgical, pediatrics/labor and delivery, and/or long term care/residential settings.
  • Relevant clinical training, practice experience, and ongoing professional development.
  • Knowledge of the role and scope of practice of the Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Understanding of First Nations cultures and organizations.
