As a key member of our multidisciplinary team at Health Careers in Saskatchewan, the Nurse Coordinator - Transplant Program will play a vital role in providing holistic patient care to transplant patients and their families. This position requires a strong clinical knowledge and skills in transplant patient populations and living donors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate education and evaluation of recipients and live donors pre- and post-transplantation
- Provide ongoing assessment, monitoring, education, and intervention in the care of transplanted patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and the general public to educate them on transplant-related topics
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary health team to achieve mutual goals and provide quality patient care
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years recent acute nursing experience
- Experience in critical care is an asset
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- One (1) year of transplant and organ donation experience is an asset
