We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team at the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and administering quality adult programs and services for First Nations learners, promoting SIIT's vision, mission, and mandate.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage the Indigenous Practical Nursing (IPN) program across SIIT locations in Saskatchewan and First Nation communities.
- Develop and implement program plans, including administration, financial budgeting, program development, monitoring, and recruitment and management of instructors and students.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all trainings for the IPN program, ensuring compliance with CLPNS regulations.
- Collaborate with the Program Head and Dean to identify program opportunities and modify current programs to meet learner needs.
- Coordinate clinical placement trainings, monitor student outcomes, and make recommendations to adjust course content for student success.
- Travel to assigned program locations or other approved work sites as required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing with active/practicing Registered Nurse (RN) status.
- Minimum 5 years' clinical practice experience in medical-surgical, pediatrics/labor and delivery, and/or long term care/residential settings.
- Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations is an asset.
- Experience working in post-secondary education is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
