As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, First Nations partners, and Provincial Health Authority partners to provide expert clinical care and lead best evidence practices to prevent transmission and reduce the progression of Tuberculosis (TB) in Saskatchewan.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of TB prevention and control strategies
- Provide expert clinical care and consultation to clients with TB
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, First Nations partners, and Provincial Health Authority partners to provide a comprehensive approach to communicable disease reduction, adherence, and management support
- Develop and implement education programs to promote TB awareness and prevention
- Conduct research and analysis to inform TB prevention and control strategies
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Advanced - Communication skills
- Basic - Research skills
- Basic - Interpersonal skills
- Basic - Conflict resolution skills
- Basic - Critical thinking skills
- Ability to be flexible and willing to change
- Knowledge of population health approach to health promotion/prevention
- Knowledge in developing policies, procedures and standards
- Knowledge in program development and implementation
- Knowledge in education and program development, implementation and evaluation
- Knowledge in the SHA, community resources and applicable programming
- Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
