Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Clinical Supervisor to join our team at the Government of Northwest Territories. As a key member of our Primary Community Care and Community Wellness and Support Services Program teams, you will provide functional and advanced clinical supervision, education, and leadership to Community Counsellor positions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver ongoing individual and group clinical supervision sessions to ensure high-quality clinical services.
  • Teach clinical skills and current counselling theories to staff, promoting evidence-based practice models and culturally safe services.
  • Monitor staff skill development to ensure client welfare and evaluate staff competencies.
  • Develop and implement prevention and promotion initiatives to support community well-being.
  • Mentor care coordination techniques and provide early intervention during or after critical incidents.
Requirements

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:

A Master's degree in counselling psychology, clinical psychology, or social work, with three years of relevant counselling experience in a scope of practice or experience restricted to addictions, mental health, and/or family violence.

The education and/or work experience of the Clinical Supervisor should include clinically supervised experience.

One year of experience in supervising or leading a team in a Mental Health and Addictions setting is also required.

Registration with a relevant professional regulatory body is mandatory.

What We Offer

This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers a competitive salary range of $53.80 per hour to $64.26 per hour, plus an annual Northern Allowance of $14,699.
