In alignment with the established vision and values of the organization, the Clinical Nurse Educator operates in accordance with the standards of professional practice and ethical guidelines as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), while adhering to a person and family-centered care approach.
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is tasked with identifying, planning, developing, and delivering educational sessions for staff to help them achieve their essential competencies in accordance with their professional scope.
This role involves compiling, implementing, and assessing both general and unit-specific Orientation and Education programs for staff. It also facilitates the development and ongoing management of the department's preceptorship and mentorship initiatives.Engagement in the continuous review and modification of patient care standards, policies, and procedures is essential, as well as coordinating in-service programs to meet the ongoing educational requirements of staff.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience in a Long-Term Care environment.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a CNA certification in Gerontology and/or Dementia.
- Willingness to travel is required.
Compensation :
The new wage is: $67.08/hour
