Position Summary

At Northern Health, we're seeking a skilled Registered Care Aide to join our team at a long-term care facility. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional care to our elderly residents, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional needs are met.\

Working in accordance with our established vision and values, you'll be a part of a positive and progressive culture that prioritizes resident-centered care. Your duties will include nursing procedures such as taking vital signs, as well as assisting with activities of daily living and providing recreational activities.\

**Key Responsibilities:**\

  • Provide resident care in accordance with resident-centered care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures.\
  • Perform nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration.\
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical, and recreational needs.\
  • Transport residents and perform clerical duties.\
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to residents.\

\**Requirements:**\

  • Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.\
  • Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.\
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.\
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.\
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.\
  • Ability to organize work.\
  • Ability to operate related equipment.\
\
