Job Summary

RhynoCare is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a Long-term Care (LTC) setting. As a Travel Nurse Practitioner, you will provide primary health care to residents, managing acute and chronic medical conditions, and promoting health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough health assessments, identify and interpret normal and abnormal findings, and order diagnostic investigations as needed.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership to LTC team members, collaborating with residents and family members to develop person-centered care plans.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Education and Research: Participate in educational programs and quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and advance the field of gerontology.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BScN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a Nurse Practitioner specialization.
  • Registration and Licensure: College of Nurses of Ontario registration in the Extended Class.
  • Professional Development: National certification in gerontology and membership with the Nurse Practitioners' Association of Ontario (NPAO) are assets.
