Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II to join our team at BC Children's Hospital and SunnyHill Health Centre. The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy assessments and treatment programs for clients/patients in the acute rehabilitation program.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and treatment programs for clients/patients in the acute rehabilitation program.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client/patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients/patients.
- Document client/patient information, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients/patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal care and support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy and licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
- Two (2) years of recent related experience, including one (1) year in pediatrics or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- 50 hours of post-graduate coursework/training related to additional procedures, techniques, and job functions for assigned area.
