About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant at Kinderbrook Montessori School. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced educators to create a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Program Development: Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage Children in Activities: Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to encourage their creativity and curiosity.
  • Prepare Environments: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our students.
  • Document Progress: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors to support their development and progress.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week. The work environment is physically demanding, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Manual dexterity is also required for tasks such as preparing crafts and snacks.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Language and Work Conditions

This position requires fluency in English and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The work conditions are physically demanding, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
