Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Kindertots Child Care Centre. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre, ensuring the health, security, and well-being of our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assess the children's development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.

Work Environment: Our childcare centre is a physically demanding environment that requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
