About the Role

CAE is seeking a highly skilled Optimization Research Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations research team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing mathematical programming models to guide development and implementation efforts across the solution lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex mathematical programming models to optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Design and implement algorithms and data structures to optimize solution performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mathematical programming and optimization techniques.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in optimization solutions, with a strong background in mathematical programming models.
  • Strong knowledge of C++ (11+), object-oriented programming/design principles, and SOLID design patterns.
  • Experience with enterprise software development and maintenance, as well as client applications for Windows or Linux.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in people management and leadership, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
