Position Title: Apptad Inc - Junior QA Analyst for Systems Testing
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration: Long-Term

Role Overview
As a Junior QA Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the quality assurance process by collaborating with senior team members and contributing to the testing of complex systems. Your responsibilities will include executing tests, documenting results, and ensuring that all functionalities meet established standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist QA leads in executing and reconciling tests to ensure timely completion of quality assurance tasks.
  2. Follow established QA methodologies and best practices under the guidance of senior analysts.
  3. Contribute to the creation of QA test plans, test cases, and scenarios.
  4. Develop a comprehensive understanding of system functionalities and the impact of changes.
  5. Identify gaps in requirements through detailed testing of system modifications.
  6. Verify compliance with business rules and data specifications.
  7. Ensure system flow functions as intended through thorough verification.
  8. Prepare and manage test data for testing and reconciliation activities.
  9. Execute test cases according to the test plan and document defects using QA tools.
  10. Participate in regression and integration testing across various system modules.
  11. Assist in functional and accessibility compliance testing under supervision.
  12. Identify problems and update defect reports with assistance from senior staff.
  13. Document test results and provide feedback to QA leads.
  14. Engage in daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
  15. Contribute to test summaries and status reports as directed.
  16. Support Change Management processes by adhering to established guidelines.
  17. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and document insights as directed.

Additional Duties:
  1. Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams to resolve project and customer issues.
  2. Adhere to software development standards and project management protocols.
  3. Complete assigned tasks within set deadlines.
  4. Communicate any issues or concerns regarding deliverables to management.
  5. Submit completed work for approval as required.
  6. Follow security procedures and practices as mandated.

Qualifications:
Experience and Skills:
Quality Assurance Skills - 45%
  • 2-5 years of experience in testing activities and data reconciliation for complex systems.
  • Experience in assisting with test planning and expected outcomes for business systems.
  • Some experience in data analysis and reconciliation on large systems.
  • Experience in executing test cases with a focus on detailed test plans.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage QA activities and timelines.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing aligned with standards.
Technical Skills - 35%
  • Knowledge of workflow and rule-driven business solutions.
  • Familiarity with web-based software platforms.
  • Proficiency in testing tools and defect tracking software.
  • Understanding of database tools.
  • Proficient in desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of custom and commercial off-the-shelf implementations.
  • Familiarity with web application development.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools.

Public Sector Experience - 5%

Essential Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in testing and data reconciliation.
