About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team at Apptad Inc. as a Technical Lead. This is a key role that will involve leading the development of complex software systems and providing technical expertise to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Design and develop complex software systems, including identifying and creating technical solutions, and ensuring that they meet the business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that software solutions meet the needs of the business and are aligned with the company's overall strategy.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user manuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, and make recommendations for their adoption in the company.
Requirements
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Senior Cognos Developer in a public sector environment or large business and I&IT transformation project(s).
  • Hands-on experience writing Cognos and SQL.
  • Experience in large-scale implementations.
  • Technical expertise to enhance, configure, customize, and integrate case management systems with external or related applications.
  • Experience in conducting requirements elicitation, fit-gap, design, and development phases in large Cognos implementations.
  • Ability to advise and provide technical recommendations on infrastructure, reporting, and interfaces.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience creating Unix scripts.
  • Experience with Database and SQL.
  • Experience in using Gitlab for version control.
  • Proven experience in facilitating discussions, negotiations, conflict resolution.
  • Strong communication skills in effectively communicating with clients, management, and teams, making presentations, and reporting outcomes.
  • Experience in designing and developing Web Services.
  • Experience in AIX, UML, and XML.
  • Experience in design, develop, test, optimize, and support complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects with the ability to solve complex production issues.
