Position Title: Apptad Inc - Junior QA Analyst for Systems Testing
Location: Hybrid work arrangement
Duration: Long-Term Engagement

Role Overview
This position is designed for an individual eager to develop their skills in Quality Assurance (QA) and systems testing within a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced QA professionals to ensure that testing processes are executed efficiently and effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist QA leads in the execution and reconciliation of testing activities to ensure timely completion of QA tasks.
  2. Follow established QA methodologies and best practices under the guidance of senior team members.
  3. Contribute to the formulation of QA test plans, test cases, and scenarios with oversight from senior QA staff.
  4. Gain insights into system functionalities and understand the implications of changes made.
  5. Participate in identifying requirements gaps by engaging in thorough testing of system modifications.
  6. Support the verification of business rules and data specifications to ensure compliance with requirements.
  7. Help validate application and system workflows to confirm expected functionality.
  8. Prepare test data and engage in data testing and reconciliation tasks.
  9. Execute test cases as per the test plan and document defects using QA tools.
  10. Assist in conducting regression and integration testing across various system modules.
  11. Support functional and Accessibility Compliance testing under the mentorship of senior QA personnel.
  12. Identify issues and maintain defect reports with assistance from senior staff.
  13. Document test outcomes and provide constructive feedback to QA leads.
  14. Engage in daily stand-up meetings to collaborate with QA and project teams on progress and challenges.
  15. Contribute to test summaries and status reports as directed by QA leadership.
  16. Assist in managing Change Management processes by adhering to established protocols.
  17. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and document insights as guided by QA leads.

Additional Duties:
  1. Collaborate with Development and cross-functional teams to resolve project and customer issues.
  2. Adhere to government software development standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Complete assigned tasks and milestones within specified timelines.
  4. Communicate any significant issues or concerns regarding deliverables to management.
  5. Submit completed work for approval as required.
  6. Follow security protocols as mandated by the organization.

Qualifications:
Experience and Skills:
QA Expertise - 45%
  • 2-5 years of experience in testing activities and data reconciliation for complex systems.
  • Experience in assisting with test planning and expected outcomes for business systems.
  • Some familiarity with data analysis and reconciliation on large systems.
  • 2-5 years of experience executing test cases for complex systems.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage QA tasks and priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of Accessibility testing aligned with standards.
Technical Proficiency - 35%
  • Understanding of workflow and rule-driven business solutions.
  • Familiarity with web-based software platforms.
  • Proficient in testing tools and defect tracking software.
  • Knowledge of Oracle database tools.
  • Skilled in desktop applications such as MS Office and Visio.
  • Understanding of web application development.
  • Familiarity with Accessibility testing tools.
General Skills - 15%
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Public Sector Exposure - 5%
  • Experience working with public sector organizations or government agencies.
