Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is a prestigious educational institution recognized across the country for its effectiveness in enhancing students' academic performance and personal growth. Our mission is to empower students with essential skills in literacy, numeracy, and study techniques to promote lifelong independent learning. We provide customized programs and adaptive teaching methods to meet each student's unique academic, behavioral, and cognitive needs, ensuring a distinctive educational experience.

We are currently in search of a passionate and proactive Education Director to oversee our center's operations during a maternity leave. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for education and a commitment to student success.

As the Education Director, you will be instrumental in managing the center's daily functions. Your duties will include:

  • Educating parents on the advantages of the Oxford Learning program
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring teaching staff
  • Designing individualized programs utilizing the Oxford Learning curriculum
  • Regularly engaging with parents to discuss student progress
  • Creating a vibrant and stimulating learning atmosphere
  • Interacting with the community to promote awareness of Oxford Learning
  • Overseeing daily operations, including administrative responsibilities and customer inquiries
  • Assisting with scheduling and sales to improve service offerings
  • Participating in marketing initiatives
  • Possessing teaching experience and familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Proven leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment
  • Flexible availability
  • Outgoing, creative, and energetic demeanor
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Relevant educational background or equivalent experience
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • A sense of humor
  • Prior management experience in a similar educational setting
  • Knowledge of French (both oral and written) is a plus
  • Previous experience at an Oxford Learning Centre or similar tutoring facility is beneficial

This role requires availability for 3-4 afternoons/evenings per week (Monday-Thursday until 7:30 pm) and Saturday mornings.
