The Role:

We are in search of a proactive and visionary Head of Educational Programs for our Middle and Senior School. This pivotal leadership position emphasizes:

  • Designing and supervising the curriculum, assessment, and reporting methodologies.
  • Aligning educational programs with SGCS's strategic vision.
  • Enhancing student engagement and academic success.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Teaching and Learning, Director of Student Wellbeing, and Faculty Heads.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to ensure coherence and accountability.
  • Managing academic data and reporting frameworks.
  • Advocating for SGCS's educational strategies in broader discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance effective teaching and learning initiatives.
  • Establish strong assessment quality-assurance processes.
  • Oversee curriculum transitions from Year 6 to Year 7.
  • Implement creative strategies to boost student engagement.
  • Ensure excellence in curriculum, assessment, and reporting.
  • Lead and support Faculty Heads.
  • Manage Parent-Student-Teacher engagement events.
  • Monitor and assess academic culture and student outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant educational standards.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

  • Strong capabilities in staff leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration in Queensland as a teacher.
