Senior Electrical Building Engineer

GBi is seeking a Senior Electrical Building Engineer with a strong background in consulting engineering. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of projects across institutional, industrial, residential, and public sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting assessments, studies, and evaluations of electrical systems and equipment;
  • Performing feasibility analyses, short-circuit assessments, and designing electrical components and systems;
  • Preparing cost estimates and detailed design specifications for electrical installations;
  • Creating and designing circuits, networks, and electrical infrastructure;
  • Overseeing the installation, modification, testing, and operation of electrical systems;
  • Providing support to technicians, drafters, and junior engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Registered member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Prior experience in consulting engineering in a similar role;
  • Experience with commercial and institutional projects;
  • Strong ability to represent the organization to clients;
  • Fluency in French, both spoken and written;
  • Familiarity with software tools such as Word, Excel, AGI32 for lighting calculations, and Arc Flash study software.
