We are seeking a qualified Electrical and Telecommunications Specialist to enhance our operations at gbi in Repentigny.

Core Responsibilities

  • Engage in the planning, assessment, and evaluation of electrical and telecommunication systems and equipment;
  • Support feasibility assessments, cost estimates, designs, and operational performance of electrical and electronic communication systems;
  • Assist in preparing design quotations and reports for electrical and telecommunication projects;
  • Collaborate on the design of circuits, components, electrical installations, telephony, telecommunications, surveillance systems, access control, and Wi-Fi across various sectors;
  • Establish client relationships and assess their requirements;
  • Oversee the installation, modification, testing, and operation of electrical systems and equipment;
  • Conduct technology monitoring and stay updated on emerging technologies in collaboration with the telecommunications and security service team leader;
  • Innovate new tools and enhance existing methodologies in partnership with team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and/or telecommunications;
  • Familiarity with relevant standards in the telecommunications and electrical sectors;
  • Experience in electrical distribution is a plus;
  • Knowledge of lighting calculation software (AGI32) is advantageous;
  • Experience in project estimation and supervision is beneficial;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit software is preferred;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
