Senior Electrical Building Engineer
GBi is seeking a Senior Electrical Building Engineer with a robust background in consulting engineering. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality projects for a diverse clientele, including institutional, industrial, residential, and public sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough planning, analysis, and evaluation of electrical systems and equipment;
- Performing feasibility assessments, short-circuit analyses, and designing electrical components and systems;
- Preparing cost estimates and detailed design specifications for electrical installations;
- Creating and designing circuits, networks, and comprehensive electrical systems;
- Overseeing the installation, modification, testing, and operational efficiency of electrical devices;
- Providing support and guidance to technicians, drafters, and junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
- Active member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity;
- Proven experience in consulting engineering within commercial and institutional projects;
- Strong ability to effectively represent the organization to clients;
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written;
- Familiarity with software tools such as Word, Excel, AGI32 for lighting calculations, and Arc Flash study applications.
Preferred Skills: Additional skills are considered an advantage.
