We are seeking a dedicated Electrical and Telecommunications Specialist to enhance our operations at gbi in Repentigny.

Core Responsibilities

  • Engage in the planning, analysis, and assessment of electrical and telecommunication systems and equipment;
  • Support feasibility assessments, cost estimates, designs, and operational evaluations of electrical and electronic communication systems;
  • Prepare design quotes and cost evaluations for electrical and telecommunication projects, along with comprehensive reports;
  • Collaborate on the design of circuits, components, electrical installations, telephony, telecommunications, surveillance systems, access control, and Wi-Fi across various sectors;
  • Interact with clients to assess their requirements;
  • Oversee the installation, modification, testing, and functionality of electrical systems and equipment;
  • Conduct technology monitoring and stay updated on emerging technologies in partnership with the telecommunications and security service team leader;
  • Innovate new tools and enhance existing methodologies with team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and/or telecommunications;
  • Familiarity with relevant standards in the telecommunications and electrical sectors;
  • Experience in electrical distribution is advantageous;
  • Knowledge of lighting calculation software (AGI32) is a plus;
  • Experience in project estimation and supervision is beneficial;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit software is an asset;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
