About the Role

The IT and Network Specialist will report to the Director of Information Technology and will be responsible for ensuring the security and quality of our systems. This includes providing technical support to our various sites, serving as a resource for our internal personnel and external stakeholders, and proposing innovative solutions to address current and future challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects related to the deployment and optimization of infrastructure;
  • Provide technical support on-site and remotely to users;
  • Configure workstations, printers, and mobile devices;
  • Administer our multi-site network and Windows servers;
  • Perform maintenance, configuration, and deployment of applications;
  • Manage access to various applications based on user permissions;
  • Implement procedures to maintain optimal security levels (firewall, anti-virus, etc.);
  • Manage user accounts and email;
  • Manage our IP-based telephone system;
  • Ensure quality control in accordance with requirements and contracts;
  • Determine and document IT procedures;
  • Implement backup procedures and ensure their effectiveness;
  • Ensure compliance with SST policies during site interventions;
  • Conduct research to apply best practices;
  • Evaluate physical and technical security risks related to data, software, and hardware;
  • Participate in the development of policies;
  • Provide advice on strategies, policies, management, security, and service delivery related to information systems;
  • Collaborate with the analyst-programmer on IT development projects, as needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Computer Science or Networking;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, particularly in infrastructure deployment projects;
  • Experience in an industrial automated environment, preferably;
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts (IoT, telemetry, Pi System), an asset;
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 365, Office 365 technologies, networks, and IT security, as well as IP-based telephone systems;
  • Attention to detail, autonomy, and reactivity;
  • High vigilance and integrity;
  • Excellent interpersonal and pedagogical communication skills;
  • Team spirit;
  • Ability to learn and innovate;
  • Polyvalence;
  • Bilingualism in French and English;
  • Class 5 driver's license;
  • Ability to travel regularly between sites for short periods.
