About Cha House Coquitlam Inc.

We are a dynamic and growing café company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Café Operations Manager to join our team. As a Café Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our café runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of staff in various areas of responsibility, including customer service, food preparation, and café maintenance.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Plan and organize daily operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and supply ordering.
    • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure that they are delivered efficiently and effectively.
    • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to ensure that the café's financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure that the café has the necessary resources to operate effectively.
    • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to ensure that the café's services are utilized to their full potential.
  • Marketing and Promotion
    • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to ensure that the café's services are promoted effectively and that customer awareness is increased.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed to ensure that the café is a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
  • Physical Demands
    • Work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks as required.
    • Have attention to detail and be able to multitask effectively.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Have excellent written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
    • Be organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience
      • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Language
      • English language proficiency.
    • Work Conditions
      • 30 to 40 hours per week.
