Job Summary:

Cineplex is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Server or Server Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service: Provide prompt and attentive service to all restaurant patrons, taking accurate orders and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials.
  • Table Setting and Maintenance: Properly set tables, remove used dishes and place settings, and ensure tables are cleaned and reset in a timely manner.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Take food and beverage orders from guests, ensure orders are executed accurately, and serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean designated areas, including opening and closing routines, and maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work effectively with other team members to ensure seamless service, and communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
  • Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Experience: 1-3 years of restaurant service experience considered an asset.
    • Skills: Strong service skills, ability to work well under pressure, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals, and ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced restaurant environment with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
