Clinical Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Operations Specialist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Transfer Services team, you will be responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and continually improving clinical practices, processes, and documentation to enable effective and efficient care in our departments.
The successful candidate will provide oversight and facilitate quality improvement in collaboration with clinical leaders, Information and Technology Services, clinical managers and directors, physicians, staff, and other stakeholders. You will serve as the liaison and change agent for clinical care areas, departments, and units, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and analyzing, prioritizing, and translating user needs into more standardized clinical practice and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical practice guidelines and standards
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and stakeholders to improve patient flow and transfer services
- Conduct quality improvement initiatives and analyze data to inform decision-making
- Provide education and training to staff on clinical practices and procedures
- Develop and maintain documentation and reporting systems
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Minimum five years of experience in front-line clinical care and related experience in bed management, patient transportation, and clinical operations
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Valid BC driver's license
