Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fulfill the role of Portfolio Insights Analyst. In this capacity, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering critical insights for managing portfolio volume and margin, as well as supporting new initiatives through a data-centric methodology.
  • Tracking and assessing portfolio trends to provide timely insights essential for meeting growth objectives.
  • Driving strategic initiatives for Retail Deposits & Investments in partnership with diverse teams.
  • Conducting portfolio performance evaluations and planning in collaboration with Product and Finance departments.
  • Working with Product teams to manage rate pass-through strategies in line with changes from the Bank of Canada.
  • Keeping abreast of competitor offerings to effectively position Retail Savings and Retail Deposits.
  • Enhancing business decisions by delivering comprehensive analyses of both financial and non-financial outcomes.
  • Monitoring and evaluating key initiatives after implementation, measuring success against established KPIs.
  • Considering the Bank's risk tolerance and culture in all daily operations.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in commerce/business, economics, finance, or analytics.
  • Experience within the Financial Services sector, with expertise in Python for data manipulation and Machine Learning Models.
  • Familiarity with SAS and/or SQL is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
  • A background in product P&L management, Finance, or Business Analytics is beneficial.
  • Understanding of the retail deposits and investments landscape.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Effective project management capabilities to prioritize and execute initiatives.
  • Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
