About The Grounds Guys of Barrie

We are a reputable landscaping company seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Grass Team Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and leading our grass cutting crews to deliver exceptional services to our clients.

About the Role

The Senior Grass Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and motivating a team of 6-7 grass cutting crews to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Performing grass maintenance duties, including mowing, fertilizer application, weed control, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, and pruning
  • Operating a variety of mechanical equipment, including bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, trailers, line trimmers, and tillers
  • Performing landscape enhancement activities, such as mulch application, plantings, top soil application, and lawn seeding
  • Addressing client inquiries, comments, and concerns
  • Completing daily paperwork, including vehicle and trailer checklists, work orders, time sheets, and other required documents
About You

We are looking for a proactive leader and self-starter who can interact with the public and our employees. You should have a strong work ethic, be able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines, and have experience in landscaping and previous supervisory experience. You should also have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.

Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted G Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Background check
  • 4 years' experience in this or a related field is required
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Able to work days, weekends, early morning, early evening
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
