About The Grounds Guys of Barrie

We are a reputable landscaping company seeking a reliable and proactive leader to join our team as a Landscape Maintenance Supervisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising 6-7 grass cutting crews and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

About You

We are looking for a self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. You should have experience in landscaping and previous supervisory experience, as well as the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate grass cutting teams
  • Perform grass maintenance duties, including mowing, fertilizer application, weed control, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, and pruning
  • Operate various mechanical equipment, including bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, trailers, line trimmers, and tillers
  • Perform landscape enhancement activities, such as mulch application, plantings, top soil application, lawn seeding
  • Address client inquiries and concerns
  • Complete daily paperwork, including vehicle and trailer checklists, work orders, time sheets, and other required documents

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted G Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Background check
  • 4 years' experience in landscaping or a related field
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Able to work days, weekends, early morning, early evening
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
