Material Chemist Role

As a Material Chemist at Svante, you will be instrumental in advancing our mission by conducting cutting-edge research and development within our dynamic laboratory environment. Your expertise in material science and synthesis will contribute directly to the creation of novel porous materials for carbon capture applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, synthesize, and meticulously characterize a range of porous materials specifically tailored for carbon capture purposes.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of scientific data, generating comprehensive reports and engaging presentations to effectively communicate your findings.
  • Scale up the synthesis of organic sorbents based on successful bench-scale results, ensuring efficient transition from laboratory to industrial production.
  • Maintain meticulous records of experimental procedures and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols within the laboratory setting.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field is essential for this role.
  • Demonstrated experience in organic/polymer synthesis and characterization techniques is required.
  • A strong understanding of materials science principles, particularly those pertaining to porous materials, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in various laboratory techniques and a commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards are essential.
