Senior Materials Scientist
Location:

Role Overview:
In the capacity of a Senior Materials Scientist at Svante, you will engage in experimental research, the synthesis of novel monomers, operation of laboratory instrumentation, and data interpretation. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related discipline is essential, alongside expertise in organic and polymer synthesis. Familiarity with WHMIS safety protocols and the ability to thrive in a wet laboratory setting are also required.
- Develop and characterize advanced porous materials aimed at carbon capture technologies.
- Evaluate scientific data and compile comprehensive reports and presentations.
- Facilitate the scaling of organic sorbent synthesis from laboratory to larger production.
- Oversee laboratory equipment maintenance and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related area.
- Proven experience in organic and polymer synthesis and characterization.
- Strong foundation in materials science, particularly with porous materials.
- Proficient in laboratory methodologies and safety standards.
