Position Overview

The role of the Data Governance and Quality Manager is pivotal in enhancing the integrity and usability of data across the organization. This position involves spearheading the global data governance strategy and ensuring the effective implementation of data quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Data Governance Deployment: Drive the execution of the data governance agenda to foster trust and enhance data utilization.
  • Framework Refinement: Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve the global data quality framework, creating playbooks and training materials to facilitate adoption.
  • Data Literacy Enhancement: Support organizational leaders in enhancing their understanding of data governance and quality practices.
  • Critical Data Identification: Engage with various organizational levels to identify essential data elements and establish metrics that connect data quality to business outcomes.
  • Data Quality Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to resolve significant data quality challenges, from identification to resolution.
  • Governance Metrics Implementation: Develop and implement global data governance metrics to ensure the achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Technology Adoption Support: Collaborate with technology teams to facilitate the adoption of data quality technologies in cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between the Global Data Governance team and various data offices to ensure clarity in data quality requirements.
  • Innovation Contribution: Utilize creative thinking to innovate data governance practices and monitor advancements in data governance technologies.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance and management within a large multinational context.
  • A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience in large-scale organizations, preferably in the financial or insurance sectors.
  • Exceptional communication skills tailored to both technical and business audiences.
  • Proficient in data governance concepts and technologies, with hands-on experience in leading data quality software.
  • Familiarity with foundational data architecture and cloud technologies is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of guiding teams towards common objectives.
  • Experience in data analytics, dashboard design, and knowledge of AI/ML technologies is a plus.
