About the Opportunity

CPP Investments is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead to join our team. As a Data Governance Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data governance strategies and policies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data governance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data governance initiatives and projects.
  • Design and implement data governance frameworks, including data catalogs, metadata management, and data quality assurance.
  • Provide training and support to business stakeholders on data governance best practices and policies.
  • Develop and maintain data governance metrics and reporting to measure the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
  • Work with the vendor data team to develop standards for vendor datasets and ensure data quality.
  • Collaborate with business partners to build strong relationships, comprehend their data challenges, and collaborate with tech teams for solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience in data governance, including metadata management, data quality, data access, ownership, and reporting.
  • Experience in working with diverse set of stakeholders to drive positive outcomes.
  • Experience in project management, change management, and consulting.
  • Experience working with SQL and Python.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau and QuickSight.
  • Experience working with AWS services such as Glue and Athena.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.
  • Knowledge in data lifecycle, including data modeling design, metadata, and data quality.
  • Commitment to CPP Investment's guiding principles of integrity, partnership, and high performance.
  • Graduate or undergraduate degree in engineering, business and finance.
