Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and energetic individual to support our business development initiatives in a fast-paced and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm to their role, excel at managing multiple tasks efficiently, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bilingualism (English and French) and experience in business development will be considered as assets for the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development
    • Create innovative business development strategies to grow the business in collaboration with other stakeholders.
    • Contribute to the development of marketing and sales materials for new business opportunities.
    • Identify short- and long-term value creation opportunities for target customer segments.
  • Project Management
    • Develop, maintain, and execute a business plan to achieve client retention objectives.
    • Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
    • Provide advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of solutions.
  • Strategic Initiatives
    • Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Help determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
    • Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
    • Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
    • Monitor and track performance, and address any issues.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
    • Build change management plans of varying scope and type; lead or participate in a variety of change management activities.
  • Relationship Management
    • Act as a relationship manager on assigned projects/programs to ensure alignment with overall enterprise and group goals.
    • Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Business Context
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development, and implementation of business development programs and solutions.
    • May network with industry contacts to gather and identify competitive insights and best practices.
  • Change Management
    • Lead or support change management activities to coordinate strategic business development initiatives across business/groups and support implementation logistics.
    • Identify enablers and key issues prior to and during implementation of strategic business development initiatives, and raise issues with stakeholders to resolve issues or risks that jeopardize delivery.
  • Business Acumen
    • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
    • Work independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
  • Qualifications
    • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Solid knowledge of Lean process improvement methodology.
    • Working knowledge of process analysis and improvement tools.
    • In-depth understanding of the business unit's risk and regulatory requirements.
    • Strong knowledge of the business unit's transaction fulfillment procedures.
    • Advanced knowledge of process and/or project management.
    • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
    • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
    • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.
    • Influence skills - In-depth.

Requirements

  • Fluency in French and English to support business operations outside the province of Quebec.
