Job Description

**Business Systems Analyst - Software Development Expert**

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team at Intelliware Development. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in guiding product development from conception to launch, collaborating closely with technical leads, delivery managers, business sponsors, and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Meet with clients to understand business and systems requirements, documenting them, and translating them into functional and system requirement specifications that can be used by developers to build the solution and for testers to validate functionality.
  • Solution Enhancement: Apply knowledge of systems and technology to enhance solutions and manage data quality.
  • Backlog Refinement: Orchestrating backlog refinement, prioritizing/updating requirements, and writing quality, detailed user stories.
  • Business Information Gathering: Gathering and processing business information related to procedures and data to clarify business issues/requirements.
  • Alternative Solutions: Developing alternative solutions based on business drivers and impact/cost analysis.
  • Scope Management: Supporting scope management.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating directly with development team to deliver projects on time and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring quality of the developed solution: that it meets the business functional requirements and is production-ready.
  • Relationship Management: Managing relationships with team and clients.

Requirements:

  • Business Analysis Experience: 5+ years of business analysis experience.
  • Software Development Understanding: Solid understanding of software development.
  • Requirements Consolidation: Ability to consolidate diverse business and systems requirements and facilitate realistic, common sense solutions.
  • Data Mapping Experience: Experience data mapping.
  • Business Function Analysis: Ability to analyze business functions, workflows, inputs, and outputs.
  • Technical Writing Skills: Technical writing skills/experience.
  • Integration Patterns: Understanding of Integration patterns including REST APIs and event mechanisms.
  • Database Experience: Hands-on experience working with SQL databases (i.e., performing queries, data analysis).
  • Project Management Tools: Familiarity with Project Management tools such as JIRA.
  • UML and Flow Diagrams: UML and flow diagrams.
  • Client-Facing Skills: Proven client-facing, partnership, and presentation skills.
  • Agile Approach: Familiarity with and enthusiasm for Agile approaches to software development.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity and Desire to Learn: Curiosity and a desire to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Experience: Project management skills/experience.
  • Product Development Experience: Product development/ownership experience.
  • Cloud Platform Experience: Cloud platform experience, preferably Azure.
