Position Summary:

As a member of our float pool, you will be part of a dedicated team of security personnel tasked with maintaining a secure environment. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to professionalism in a dynamic setting. Candidates should be prepared to work full-time hours during the initial six months of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain composure and effectiveness during emergency situations.
  • Follow specific protocols and instructions diligently.
Availability Requirements:
Applicants must have open availability, including weekends and holidays, with a commitment to working 3 to 4 twelve-hour shifts weekly for a minimum of six months.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Current First Aid & CPR - Level C Certification from an approved provider.
  • Ability to be clean-shaven for N95 Mask Fit Testing.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double vaccination).
  • Immunization records for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests.
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding.
  • Preferred: Minimum six months of healthcare security experience; at least one year of non-healthcare security experience required.
Essential Duties:
  • Conduct thorough patrols of both interior and exterior areas, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
  • Enforce site rules and regulations as established by both the client and Paladin Security.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to achieve objectives.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation as necessary.
  • Engage compassionately with patients and visitors.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written) is mandatory; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  • Customer service experience is advantageous.
Training and Development:
Paladin Security offers extensive training programs, including the option to participate in the Stay Safe training program prior to onboarding. This training is a prerequisite and is not compensated; however, Paladin will cover all associated costs with a six-month commitment to the position.
