Team Leader Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
• Exhibit the behaviors and actions that align with Federated Co-operatives Limited's vision, mission, values, and safety protocols to positively impact members' lives, emphasizing a strong customer-centric approach.
• Deliver Exceptional Service at all interaction points through diverse communication methods.
• Foster a culture of safety while optimizing operational effectiveness.
• Aid in the effective management and guidance of the reporting team members' development and direction.
• Assist in monitoring sales, profit margins, expenses, inventory, and overall department sales.
• Provide training to gas bar clerks on all store responsibilities and procedures for opening and closing.
• Familiarize yourself with and comply with Federated Co-operatives Limited policies, including regulations on age-restricted items and government mandates related to tobacco and lottery sales.
• Complete all required daily reports, including cash reconciliation and daily cash-up.
• Support and adhere to the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures, training gas bar clerks accordingly.
• Assist in ensuring that the department displays, stocks, and rotates merchandise according to company standards, focusing on maintaining brand image.
• Perform minor repairs to assets as necessary.
• Undertake additional duties as required.
Collaboration:
Reporting to the C-Store/Gas Bar Team Leader, you will play a vital role in initiating, developing, and executing strategies and policies to ensure ongoing growth in sales, service, and customer satisfaction. You will help lead a dynamic and enthusiastic team to foster a culture of collaboration.

The Federated Co-operatives Limited team offers a variety of products and services to support our member-owners across multiple communities. Through our efforts and substantial annual sales, we contribute to building, fueling, feeding, and enhancing our communities.
Candidate Profile:
You are pursuing a career in Customer Service and:
• Have completed grade 12 or possess a combination of relevant experience; a minimum of 3 years in retail sales, particularly in a supervisory capacity, is preferred.
• Exhibit strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and collaborate with team members.
• Are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive for excellence in your work.
• Have experience in C-Store/Gas Bar operations and familiarity with general merchandise.
• Pay attention to detail and possess strong cash management abilities.
• Are willing to obtain necessary certifications, including propane dispenser and WHMIS.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective planning abilities, and excellent time management.
• Have experience with Point of Sale systems and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Are available for day travel within the trading area for seminars, meetings, training programs, and other events.
• Can plan and organize your own work and that of others, supervising and delegating tasks effectively.
• Hold a valid Class 5 license and have reliable transportation for business-related travel.
• Are capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the job, including manual labor.
• Have a flexible work schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
