Team Leader Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
• Exhibit behaviors and actions that align with Federated Co-operatives Limited's vision, mission, values, and safety principles to positively impact members' lives, emphasizing a strong customer-centric approach.
• Deliver Exceptional Service across all interaction points through various communication methods.
• Foster a culture of safety while optimizing operational effectiveness.
• Aid in the effective management and guidance of the reporting team members' development and direction.
• Assist in monitoring sales, profit margins, expenses, inventory, and overall department performance.
• Provide training to gas bar clerks on all store responsibilities, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Federated Co-operatives Limited policies regarding the sale of age-restricted items and all applicable government regulations related to tobacco and lottery sales.
• Complete all necessary daily reports, including cash reconciliation and daily cash-up tasks.
• Support and adhere to the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures, training gas bar clerks accordingly.
• Assist in ensuring that the department is effectively displaying, stocking, and rotating merchandise according to company standards, with a focus on maintaining brand image.
• Conduct minor repairs to assets as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required.
Collaboration:
Reporting to the La Ronge C-Store/Gas Bar Team Leader, you will play a vital role in initiating, developing, and executing strategies and policies to ensure sustained growth in sales, service, and customer satisfaction. You will help lead a dynamic and enthusiastic team to cultivate a collaborative culture.

Candidate Profile:
You are pursuing a career in Customer Service and:
• Have completed grade 12 or possess a combination of relevant experience; a minimum of 3 years in retail sales, particularly in a supervisory capacity within the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and collaborate with team members.
• Exhibit honesty, trustworthiness, and a results-oriented mindset, striving for excellence in your work.
• Possess experience in C-Store/Gas Bar operations and general merchandise.
• Pay attention to detail and have robust cash management capabilities.
• Be willing to obtain propane dispenser and WHMIS certifications.
• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective planning abilities, and excellent time management skills.
• Have experience with Point of Sale systems and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Be available for day travel within the trading area to attend seminars, meetings, training programs, and other events.
• Have the ability to organize and plan your own work and that of others, supervising and delegating tasks effectively.
• Hold a valid Class 5 license and have reliable transportation for daily travel; business-related expenses will be reimbursed.
• Be capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the job, including manual labor.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
