Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Claims Examiner to join our team. As a key player in our claims process, you'll balance a wide range of high-volume, complex claims, focusing on traditional insurance claims with opportunities to expand into other lines of business. You'll work closely with senior team members, customers, and external contacts, utilizing your exceptional communication skills and analytical expertise to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to inquiries by mail or phone, placing and accepting calls involving customers, physicians, lawyers, and investigators.
- Analyze traditional insurance claim files, updating information and documenting the claim file with written notations of the claim status and related payment information.
- Prepare policy decisions for additional review, creating detailed claim documentation, writing letters, and completing associated forms.
- Insurance claims experience, with knowledge of insurance practices and principles, as well as medical terminology.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to remain calm during times of stress, conflict, or emotionally heavy details.
- Fluency in both French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, lawyers, and other professionals.
