About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Examiner to join our team at ARAG Legal Solutions Inc. in Toronto. As a Claims Examiner, you will play a critical role in supporting our efforts to expand and strengthen our presence in the legal expense insurance market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess new and potential claims to determine coverage under the applicable insurance contract and take appropriate action.
  • Participate in the resolution of claims and coverage issues, providing expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external lawyers and firms, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Assist with various accounting functions, including financial analysis and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of claims management policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Coordinate and manage claim files, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of claims.
About You
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in claims adjusting, law, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and resolve complex claims issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple claim files and tasks.
