Primary Care Physician

This is a unique chance to establish a solo practice in a prime location within a shopping/business centre. The clinic features a full wall of frosted windows for natural light, providing a welcoming environment for patients. As a solo physician, you will have the flexibility to operate your practice independently, with the option to convert the space to accommodate two physicians in the future. The clinic is equipped with necessary medical equipment, including an allergy test kit, Hyfrecator, Defibrillator, and furniture. The patient profile is diverse, ranging from 7 weeks old to adults, with a mix of socioeconomic backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities- Examine patients, take their medical histories, order diagnostic tests, and laboratory procedures
- Advise patients on healthcare, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consult with and refer patients to other medical practitioners as needed
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs are met
- Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health concerns to Nova Scotia Public Health
Eligible candidates must be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) and certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is also required.
