Mission Description:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and interface for the Purchasing process within the Integrated Program Team (IPT).
  • Ensure that the Program (IPT) and Production strategies are effectively communicated and adhered to within the global Purchasing team.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with the Purchasing Site Leader (PSL) and Commodity Buyer teams.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with the Purchasing process according to AS-9100, aligning with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and SAFRAN Group regulations—implementing APQP and DVI PPAP.
  • Prepare all necessary Program Purchasing documentation to establish and drive Purchasing activities, including the Program Purchasing Plan (PPP), Program Work Package Agreement, Purchasing Roadmap, and Program Overview.
  • Lead the estimation process (RC & NRC) as the Purchasing focal point, providing updates on Purchasing cost evolution from the initial bid phase to certification.
  • Ensure the transmission of contractual requirements from our Customers to the Commodity Purchasing team.
  • Keep the IPT informed about the implications for suppliers regarding SAFRAN Landing Systems (SLS) technical, contractual, and logistical requirements.
  • Guarantee timely completion of all Purchasing actions in support of the Program schedule.
  • Identify and manage Purchasing risks associated with the Program in accordance with the SAFRAN Group Risk procedure, ensuring prompt resolution of critical issues and escalation to function heads when necessary.
  • Monitor key emerging issues closely, ensuring relevant functions are fully informed and that their teams—Purchasing, Program, Production, and Engineering—dedicate appropriate resources to these matters.
  • Communicate any changes or constraints from the final customer to the Commodity Buyers.
  • Participate in the Make or Buy decision-making process.
  • Coordinate with dedicated Implementation Specialists to support the industrialization of the equipment under their purview.
  • Update the Purchasing Program Dashboard (RC, NRC, schedule, contractualization, risk, etc.) and any additional specific Program reporting as required.
  • Understand Customer Services Spare Parts requirements and ensure that Buyers incorporate them into their negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with export control and offset obligations related to the supply base.
  • For Build-to-Specification (BTS) products, lead activities with Suppliers to ensure all milestones are met on time during the development phase up to certification.

Candidate Profile:

  • University or College Degree/Diploma, preferably in Business and/or Engineering.
  • Technical understanding of landing gear and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, and/or Engineering, preferably within the Aerospace sector.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Experience in Project Management and/or transversal management.
  • Ability to analyze and formalize customer requirements.
  • Understanding of the technical environment and customer expectations.
  • Proficient in managing supplier relationships.
  • Familiarity with Purchasing administration and organizational processes.
  • Highly organized, meticulous, and results-driven personality.
