Job Summary

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Market Area's Inside Sales Team and providing expertise in the sale of waste management services to customers. This role involves developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to meet customer needs and providing guidance to Inside Sales Team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reinforce the corporate sales strategy with the Inside Sales Team.
  • Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction on all sales transactions.
  • Supervise activities of the Inside Sales Department, ensuring team members meet or exceed sales call activity goals.
  • Forecast and recruit qualified candidates for available Inside Sales Team positions.
  • Develop and execute ongoing training for Inside Sales Representatives, encouraging feedback and providing direction as needed.
  • Participate in training and coaching the Inside Sales staff.
  • Assist in communicating and maintaining Market Area pricing and service strategies.
  • Set up and maintain accurate customer records for all customer interactions.
  • Work with the Market Area Sales Manager to develop strategies to up sell and cross sell to customers via outbound calls.
  • Communicate goals to Inside Sales Representatives and arrange for proper training as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees, including direct supervision of full-time Inside Sales Supervisors and indirect supervision of full-time inside Account Associates.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: Three years of relevant work experience in business-to-business sales management, plus three years in direct business-to-business sales.
  • Internal requirements include 3-years proven success in a sales leadership role.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • Bilingual French and English preferred.
