Position: Engineering Manager - Ontario

CSG Talent is collaborating with a leading gold mining organization in Ontario seeking an Engineering Manager to enhance their engineering team.

The Engineering Manager will take charge of guiding and supervising the engineering team dedicated to the shaft project. This role offers remote work flexibility with a schedule of 4 days on and 3 days off, with occasional site presence required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure engineering tasks are completed and thoroughly reviewed by relevant stakeholders, adhering to project budgets and timelines.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, project managers, contractors, and suppliers, to formulate project plans and deliverables.
  • Guarantee that engineering designs align with budgetary constraints and performance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with construction teams and consulting engineers to address design and constructability challenges.
  • Develop detailed, clear, and specific scopes of work along with necessary procurement documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in managing contractors, procurement processes, shaft sinking, surface and underground construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships and credibility within the Owner's team and with external stakeholders.
  • Expertise in shaft and underground mine infrastructure engineering.
