Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team in the Montérégie region. As a key contributor to financing and credit, you will use your talent and creativity to make a real impact on the success of Canadian entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and build ongoing relationships with entrepreneurs, clients, and prospects in the region to diagnose business issues, provide advice, and identify BDC service offers.
  • Deliver a marketing plan aligned with the objectives of the Business Centre to ensure the growth and retention of current clients, acquire new clients, and create a pool of business opportunities.
  • Develop a concrete business development plan spread over 90 days and propose solutions to business challenges.
  • Present mandates in consulting services and analyze, negotiate, and present high-quality loan proposals using sound credit judgment.
  • Develop a portfolio of customers and seek out prospects in the manufacturing, distribution, and other fields to support their growth plans via BDC solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a field deemed equivalent.
  • Energy, market development skills, and a passion for entrepreneurship.
  • Good financial analysis and financial statement interpretation skills.
  • Professional or pending accounting designation (an asset).
  • 1-5 years of experience in a similar role with sales objectives and good knowledge of the region's business community.
  • Curiosity, listening skills, and the ability to identify business needs.
  • Accuracy, proactivity, and outstanding customer service.
  • Team player with effective and lasting relationships with peers, business contacts, and external partners.
  • Active in the community through associations or chamber of commerce membership.
