About the Role

The Commercial Banking Relationship Manager plays a key role in driving business growth and customer satisfaction in the Commercial Banking division of Scotiabank. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand the Commercial Banking portfolio.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their financial goals.
  • Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough credit analysis and provide recommendations for credit approvals, ensuring that all lending decisions are made in accordance with Scotiabank's credit policies and procedures.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on market trends and economic conditions, using this knowledge to inform business development strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales teams, credit analysts, and product specialists, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to customers.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial banking, sales, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong business development and relationship management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a thorough understanding of commercial lending and deposit products and services.
