Job Title: Executive Director of Business Development

Meridian is a leading automotive company that designs, engineers, and manufactures high-quality magnesium and aluminum die cast components. We are committed to providing innovative and effective solutions for our global automotive clients.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for leading the company's business development efforts, including market assessment, product portfolio management, and competitive benchmarking. The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team to develop and execute a global business development strategy that aligns with the company's vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive top-line sales and contribution margins
  • Lead market studies, competitive benchmarking, and growth strategies in collaboration with global leadership groups
  • Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure maximum profitability and shareholder returns
  • Liaise with executive heads on the implementation of strategic and operational plans
  • Develop and review business development strategies, ensuring strategic objectives are well understood and executed by the team
  • Impact the profitability of the company through strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior position (Director or above) within the automotive industry in engineering and business development
  • Advanced knowledge of automotive OEM customer business model
  • Proven record of assessing, planning, and implementing strategic business development processes
  • Direct involvement in bringing new business development and product to market
  • Extensive experience in business development to grow revenue
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution skills, at both a strategic and functional level
  • Demonstrated experience with employee training and development
Education:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related disciplines. Master's/MBA in related field an asset.
