Role Overview
The Creator Management team is a fundamental component of WEBTOON Entertainment, encompassing Wattpad WEBTOON Studios, dedicated to providing essential touchpoints and programs that empower our creators to navigate opportunities within Entertainment, Publishing, and Licensing & Merchandise sectors, alongside our global partners.
As the Director of Creator Management, reporting to the Head of Creator Management, you will lead a team of Creator Managers and Specialists, overseeing the development and expansion of Wattpad and WEBTOON's most influential creators.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in developing and managing key initiatives aimed at fostering our creators' growth and success across various entertainment and publishing avenues.
- Lead strategic programs for our premier global creators that align with the overarching multi-year objectives of the Creator Management Team.
- Collaborate closely with Content teams to prioritize the acquisition of Wattpad and WEBTOON intellectual property for the Studio, offering strategic insights on creator readiness and growth potential.
- Advise cross-functional teams (entertainment, publishing, international, etc.) while managing the day-to-day operations of the Creator Management team, including resource allocation, task facilitation, and professional development.
- Accountable for tracking and delivering metrics focused on creator revenue, sentiment, retention, and growth.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in influencer/talent management, publicity, or digital marketing, with a strong preference for experience in user-generated content.
- Approximately 5+ years of managerial experience leading teams and/or projects.
- Exceptional diplomatic skills, high emotional intelligence, and a proven ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts in sensitive business contexts.
- In-depth knowledge of creator economy trends and a passion for discovering innovative ways to support creators.
- A positive track record in team management and a collaborative team player.
- Understanding of basic contracting principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
- Proficiency in GSuite, Word, and Excel; familiarity with Salesforce and Docusign is a plus.
